Scientists only detected a brand new galaxy for the first time, and also at 13 billion lightyears away, it is one of the very distant galaxies seen so far.
The galaxy, MAMBO-9, is not placing any longstanding documents. Scientists have discovered galaxies at comparable and even larger distances . But MAMBO-9 is nearly as old as the world, CNN reports, therefore the new finding may help astronomers reveal additional details about the first times of this cosmos.

MAMBO-9 is simply about 970 million years younger than the world itself, based on research published Wednesday at The Astrophysical Journal. That’s an extended period of time for people, but a mere blip in the cosmic calendar.
The brand new discovery poses a rare chance to see a galaxy type. Light from MAMBO-9 that only attained Earth — that portrays things that really occurred 13 billion decades ago — shows that a huge cloud of dust which may automatically form into new stars and exoplanets.
“We expect 100 times more stars than dust,” lead researcher Caitlin Casey in the University of Texas in Austin advised CNN. “But MAMBO-9 has not produced that many stars yet, and we want to find out how dust can form so fast after the Big Bang.”
